What a testimony! Praise the LORD Who humbles Himself to look at the things that are in heaven and on the earth! (Ps. 113:6)

Very good thoughts. They beg the question "How then do we know what decisions will help to keep future generations going in the right way?" Some people think they are doing just that by promoting humanism or political socialism or event he extinction of humanity as "the cause of all Earth's problems" - LOL. I have seen in your life and in your whole family evidence that following Christ will point us into the paths of peace and goodness and truth. Let us not be ashamed of the good news of Christ for it is the power of God unto salvation for everyone that believeth!

This is great news to hear!! It is wonderful and always a testimony and encouragement to see how God answers prayer, especially when you are the one who has been praying.
God is still wonderful and there for us when He answers differently than what we pray for. We have been on the receiving end of the prayers since Jacob was killed in Afghanistan. It is overwhelming
to feel the comfort of the Lord which is because of
the prayers of God's people. It is those prayers that is sustaining our family. I thank the Lord for
these answers to prayer during a very difficult time
in the life of our family. What an honor and privilege we have to go before the throne of God and praise Him and bring our requests to Him. Thank you for your prayers.
Thank you for this encouraging post reminding us how
God cares and answers our prayers.

What would we do without emoticons? I'm sure that if this world last a couple hundred years longer, and future historians are researching our culture, and our written language, they're gonna look at these " :), ;), !!!!!, LOL, ROTFL, and :(" signs, and wonder how to make sense of our "alphabet."

.... :):):):)

Anyway, I'm thankful for answered prayer. Isn't God good? :)

Excellent perspective Jessica! Many analogies for our encouragement await when we do whatever we do wholeheartedly and as to the Lord. Your message reminded me of the theme of the Wilkes' Fourth of July post. Keep it up.

Behold how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together (and work together) in unity! Congratulations on a tremendous task and ministry opportunity brought to a conclusion so that it might blossom in a new and better way in the next location. God bless your servant's spirits!

Kathryn: Thanks for sharing this recipe. I want to try it with our students. Thank you for being willing to share a "fail". It's amazing what God can do with our failures. I recently started a recipe blog, but I am not sure if I am ready to share any of my fails just yet. :)
