Wow, i never realized he had a bunch of stuff written in his bible-no that it doesn’t surprise me-i just never thought about it. I am very sad that some of the younger ones won’t remember him or won’t have met him. For our family i think of Harrison. He was only 5 i think when Grandpapa died. I’m very thankful for the time we had with him

As I read this post, I hear the heart of a man who truly desired to love the Lord with all his heart and to pass on to not only his children but also the generations to come a desire to sing the praises of the One before whom he now worships daily in heaven!

Thank you, Amanda. I miss him a lot, but I appreciate the reminder of just how great a treasure we have been passed, and of how we must be faithful to pass that treasure on to the coming generations.

Thanx for sharing about your Grandpapa. Your blog touched my heart as I am a born-again Christian and my mother died of brain cancer at age 68.

I will use some of Grandpapa’s poems in e-mails.

And, I’m sure Grandpapa and my mother have met in heaven!

Amanda, thank you for sharing this. Your Grandpapa was a wonderful Christian lighthouse and a joy to be around. I know he is VERY proud of all his grandchildren and someday he will be beside Jesus, welcoming his (and His) family home. We loved him too.
